We have an exciting Temporary Full Time Rural & Remote Adult Mental Health & Substance Use Nurse (MH Nurse Prescriber) opportunity available within our dynamic Adult Community Support Services (ACSS) team in Merritt, B.C.

What will you work on?
The Rural & Remote Adult Mental Health & Substance Use Nurse works as an integral part of an integrated mental health and substance use service. The Nurse provides urgent outreach, responsive assessment and treatment, case management, GP shared care, education, and support to individuals experiencing acute and/or chronic mental illness and/or problem substance use.
This temporary opportunity is expected to go until June 30, 2023. Shifts are Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 16:30 hours.
Travel required as this position covers several Rural Thompson South Cariboo MHSU sites.

Education, Training and Experience:
• Graduation from an approved school of nursing.
• Two (2) years’ recent related experience in a mental health and substance use environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Current valid B.C. driver’s license.
