Interior Health is seeking *MULTIPLE* reliable and flexible Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical teams at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital in Vernon, BC.

Effective April 1, 2024, the hourly wage for this position will be $41.42 to $55.91

About the Job:

The Registered Nurse:
• Practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care
• Works in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs
• Demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities

We currently have MULTIPLE part-time positions, working rotating days and nights in a variety of our acute settings (3N MEDICAL, 3E/W SURGICAL, LEVEL 6 TELEMENTRY etc.) with shift times of 07:00 to 19:00, and 19:00 to 07:00.

About this location/unit:

VJH: Located in Vernon, between Kelowna and Kamloops, VJH offers services including core physician specialties, 24 hour emergency and trauma services, acute and obstetrical care.

2 E/W: This 32-bed medical unit offers a dynamic program focussing on the needs of complex medical clients admitted with a variety of diagnoses.

3 E/W: As the primary surgical floor for the hospital, we get to see a variety of surgeries on a daily basis. We have Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology, Gynecological, and ENT (ears, nose, and throat). We have a wide variety of skill opportunities such as IV’s, PCA’s, Epidural’s, Drains, Catheters, NG’s, TPN, Blood transfusions, Ostomies, complex dressings and Chest tubes. We are a fast paced, energetic floor that will help you consolidate your surgical/medical skills while working in a supportive, team based environment.

3N: The 3N unit is a 20 bed unit (4 flex beds). The unit provides excellent care with a strong team atmosphere amongst the welcoming team of RNs, RPNs and LPNs.

Level 7: Level 7 Acute Medical, Rehab and Palliative Care unit has 28 beds with a focus on acute medicine, rehabilitation, and palliative care. Our cohesive team of RNs and LPNs work collaboratively with a wider inter-professional network of Physicians, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Rehab Assistants and Palliative Care Network to deliver safe and compassionate nursing care and support to patients and their caregivers during their hospital stay and transition to home. Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
