Kelowna General Hospital is seeking to hire an Occupational Therapist for a full time position in Occupational Rehab working with WCB clients, who are experiencing chronic pain or disability concerns.
This position also involves some work in the Acute Care portfolio, covering acute orthopedics, surgery, ED, stroke, etc.
As outlined by the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC), the Occupational Therapist works independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team providing inpatient Occupational Therapy services including assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education of inpatients and/or their caregivers to promote functional independence and enable the client to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes. The Occupational Therapist contributes to the organization and the overall goals of the department; participates in departmental/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education; and provides work direction to the rehabilitation assistants working with the rehabilitation team in regards to transfer of function.
Hours of work are 07:00 to 15:00 five days per week (usually Monday to Friday) but there may be required weekend work as needed.

• Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program.
• Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
• Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists or British Columbia Society of Occupational Therapists.
