What will you work on?
This Permanent full-time position offers a fast-paced, rewarding position in the Emergency Department. As a general duty registered nurse, you will work in a team environment to support Emergency Department RN’s and take care of admitted patients while in the Emergency Department. This is a great opportunity for those looking to later specialize in the ED.
The Registered Nurse practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care. Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs. The Registered Nurse demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.
Shift types are days and nights and shift times are from 07:00-19:00 and 19:00-07:00 hours

The hospitals’ busy 27 bed medical inpatient unit.
Located in Cranbrook, between Kimberley and Fernie, EKRH is a 75 bed regional referral centre for patients and smaller community hospitals throughout the designated health service area. EKRH offers physician specialties, 24-hour emergency and trauma services, acute medical and surgical and obstetrical care as well as Lab services.

Education, Training and Experience:
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
