Kelowna General Hospital currently has a casual opportunity on our busy and fast paced Cardiac surgical unit 2S.

What will you work on?
The Registered Nurse practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care. Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs. The Registered Nurse demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities. RNs work days (07:00 to 19:00) and nights (19:00 to 07:00).

Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience:
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Successful completion of a recognized Basic Cardiac Course (which includes telemetry) within the last six (6) months or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. BCLS within 3 years.
Note** This position is located at the Interior Health and Surgical Centre (KGH) and applicants will also be required to have successfully completed the Cardiac Surgery Basic Theory Course.
