Interior Health’s East Kootenay Regional Hospital (EKRH) has a relief, part time Occupational Therapist opening.
The Inpatient Occupational Therapist at EKRH provides care to a varied caseload including clients who are seen in Emergency, ICU, psychiatry, and medical and surgical wards. On occasion, the Occupational Therapist might also see an outpatient for splinting and hand therapy. This position provides an exciting opportunity for anyone who likes variety in their work, who likes to work with a dynamic and complete rehabilitation team, and who likes to have the ability to work with an excellent group of nursing and medical staff.
EKRH is an 80 bed regional referral centre, serving a catchment area of approximately 82,000 people in the East Kootenays. This facility offers 24/7 emergency services with 16 beds, a state of the art 6-bed ICU, a full range of medical and surgical services including Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Pathology, Psychiatry, Radiology and Urology.
This position will provide coverage until May 2023, or return of incumbent. It is a position that has a three week rotation consisting of: Week One Monday to Friday; Week Two Monday to Saturday; Week Three Tuesday to Friday.

• Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program.
• Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
• Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists - British Columbia
• Valid BC Driver’s license.
