Interior Health has opportunities for casual Registered Nurses at the Nicola Valley Hospital in Merritt, B.C.
What will you work on?
As an RN at NVH, you will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care. You will work in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, to ensure the delivery of client–centered care, by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs.
This is a Casual opportunity. Casual means there are no guaranteed hours and work requirements may vary from 0 - 37.5 hours per week. Casual employment includes: short-notice, on-call availability; workload coverage during a temporary absence; and/or providing relief coverage in a specific position. Once hired into a casual role, employees are eligible to apply for internal postings including permanent part-time or full time positions. There are many opportunities with Interior Health that begin with casual positions and lead to regular employment.

About this location/unit
The Nicola Valley Hospital and Health Centre has eight acute care inpatient beds and includes a 24/7 Emergency Department, Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy, Public Health, Mental Health, Home and Community Care Nursing and Home Support and Lab and X-ray.
Merritt’s rolling hills, sparkling lakes and over 2,030 hours of sunshine every year is a haven for four-season outdoor recreation. Merritt enjoys a steady influx of people relocating from urban areas attracted to the quality of life, low housing costs, accessibility to services and excellent recreational opportunities. Merritt is located on the Coquihalla Highway (Highway 5) at the junction with Highway 8, 120 kms northeast of Hope and 87 kms southwest of Kamloops.

Qualifications
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
