Patient Care Coordinator - Princeton, B.C.

Position Summary

We are seeking a confident Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) with a solid acute care nursing leadership background to join our team in Princeton, B.C.

We have a permanent, part time opening available to work rotating days from 09:00 to 17:52. We offer exceptional employer-paid benefits, recognition of previous experience in determining starting salary, and generous vacation entitlements.

What will you work on?
The PCC supervises as well as serves as a role model and a resource to staff for clinical decision-making, clinical assessments of patients and in the counseling and education of families. Reviews, analyses and makes recommendations on the development of administrative systems such as policies, procedures and standards of patient care, adequate staffing levels, and a continuous quality improvement environment. Liaises with the interdisciplinary team for identification, coordination and efficient utilization of resources as well as plans for staff educational needs.

The PCC is responsible for the coordination of day to day operations and quality patient care. This position supports the seamless movement of patients through the healthcare system and in accessing appropriate resources. PGH offers 24 hour Emergency Services along with a variety of other supports for patients in the area.

Qualifications

Education/Qualifications:

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, advanced preparation in the clinical specialty of the assigned area – Emergency Nursing
• Three years of recent related clinical experience in the assigned practice environment
• Two years recent supervisory and teaching experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Current CPR certification required
