Interior Health Physiotherapists work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team providing physiotherapy services and in guiding work direction to rehabilitation assistant(s). We have a relief part time (0.59 FTE) opening available in Kelowna, B.C. This position will provide coverage until return of incumbent.

What Will You Work On?
Primarily covering Kelowna South Health Unit, with office located at Kirschner Plaza. Regular days of coverage Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday - with occasional (approximately 3+) weekend coverage per year (with corresponding day off in lieu) to cover all Health Unit areas in the Central Okanagan. Shift times are from 08:30 to 16:12 hours.
The Physiotherapist works independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team providing physiotherapy services including assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education of clients and/or their caregivers to promote functional independence and enable the client to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes. The Physiotherapist contributes to the organization and the overall goals of the profession, department; participates in departmental/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education; and provides work direction to the rehabilitation assistant working with the rehabilitation team.

Education, Training and Experience:
Current registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC).
Valid BC Driver’s license where required.
