We are looking for experienced Peri-operative Nurses to join our team of dedicated professionals in Kelowna General Hospital’s (KGH) OR/Cardiac Unit. This is a relief full time position until June 21, 2023 or return of the incumbent.
What You Will Work On:
The Registered Nurse practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care. Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs. The Registered Nurse demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.
Shifts types are days, evenings and shift times are from 07:30 to 15:30, 11:00 to 19:00 hours. This is a cardiac line and on call hours are required.
How You Will Create Impact:
This role is integral in delivering peri-operative care to patients undergoing surgery. The RN works as part of an inter-disciplinary team to deliver pre, post, and inter-operative care to patients.

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCMN).
• Current CPR certification required.
• Advanced preparation in the clinical specialty of the assigned area (Peri-operative nursing) and one-year recent related clinical experience in the assigned practice environment on an operating room similar in size and scope to the facility or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
