Position Summary

Interior Health Physiotherapists work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team providing physiotherapy services and in guiding work direction to rehabilitation assistant(s). We have a relief part time (0.59 FTE) opening available within the Vernon Community Care Health Centre.

This relief is until the return of the incumbent.

What will you work on?

The Physiotherapist works independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team providing physiotherapy services including assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education of clients and/or their caregivers to promote functional independence and enable the client to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes. The Physiotherapist contributes to the organization and the overall goals of the profession, department; participates in departmental/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and education; and provides work direction to the rehabilitation assistant working with the rehabilitation team.

Shift types are days and shift times for this position are from 08:30 to 16:12 hours.

Providing quality care to clients and help in providing treatment programs which allow clients to be safe and improve their quality of life. You will act as a physiotherapy resource for other members of the health care team.

How will we help you grow?

Provide you with an orientation customized to meet your needs, and immediate support and access from excellent colleagues and the Physical Therapy Professional Practice Leader. Ongoing support and assistance to be provided. Library Services to support patient care, education and research. Educational opportunities, such as iLearns, in-house services, project assignments, etc.

Who are we looking for?

This position is suitable for a new grad or a seasoned therapist. We are seeking a Physiotherapist who works well within the team but also able to work independently with good people and communication skills. Ability to coach and educate clients. Willing to learn new skills.

• Current registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC).
• Valid BC Driver’s license is required.
