We are seeking an Emergency Nurse to join our high functioning and supportive Emergency team at Penticton Regional Hospital. We are looking for someone who brings effective problem solving skills, is highly motivated, and can work well in a team environment.
Our Emergency Department receives 37,000+ patient visits per year and the staffing complement consists of a Patient Care Coordinator, RNs, a LPN, and Unit Clerk. The RNs work 12-hour shifts and we operate the High Acuity Response Team for the South Okanagan Region which is a great opportunity for anyone looking to expand their scope of nursing practice.
Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH) is a referral centre for three community hospitals and one diagnostic centre in the South Okanagan. We have an operating capacity of 166 acute beds and 102 extended care beds and offer a full range of services.

Casual employment includes: short-notice, on-call availability; workload coverage during a temporary absence; and/or providing relief coverage in a specific position. Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Advanced preparation in an Emergency clinical specialty or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within 3 years.
ACLS and/or TNCC would be an asset.
