Exciting opportunity available for a nurse passionate and experienced in Mental Health and Substance Use in the role of Nurse Prescriber! If you have two years related experience in Mental Health and Substance Use environment and would like to be a part of a supportive team environment while working autonomously, this is the position for you!
What will you work on?
The Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse - Rural & Remote Nurse Prescriber works as an integral part of an integrated mental health and substance use service. The Nurse provides services such as Opiate Agonist Therapies, support and recovery, substance use crisis support, episodic overdose prevention services and support to individuals experiencing acute and/or chronic problem substance use.
This is a Permanent Part Time 0.72 FTE position. Days of works are Tuesday to Friday with shifts from 09:00 to 16:03. Required Nurse Prescriber education offered to successful applicant.

- Graduation from an approved school of nursing.
- Two (2) years’ recent related experience in a mental health and substance use environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Current valid B.C. driver’s license.
