Position Summary
We are currently seeking casual Long-Term Care Nurses to join our team at Ridgewood Lodge in Princeton.
The RN or RPN practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of resident care. Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the RN or RPN ensures the delivery of resident–centered care by assisting individual residents and their families respond to changing health care needs. The RN or RPN demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.
Ridgewood Lodge has 37 private and semi-private rooms with ensuite washrooms. It is a one-level facility located adjacent to the Princeton General Hospital. Shift times are rotating days, evenings and nights from 07:00 to 14:00, 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00.
This is a casual position which means hours of work are not guaranteed. Once hired into a casual role, employees are eligible to apply for internal postings including permanent part-time or full time positions. Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience:
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Post - basic education in gerontology an asset.
