We have an exciting relief full time opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our Mental Health & Substance Use (MHSU) Elderly team in Kelowna. This relief is until October 3, 2022 or return of the incumbent.
Who are we looking for?
The successful applicant will work in a case management role with senior clients who have an age related psychiatric disorder. The position requires knowledge and experience in working with both psychiatric and age-related physical issues, as well as experience in working collaboratively with other community partners to ensure appropriate services and supports are in place.
What will you work on?
The Registered Nurse provides assessment, treatment, case management, community support, and as required, urgent response to clients who may also have serious functional impairment in the domains of physical health and personal, family, financial, occupational, and social life. The Registered Nurse functions as a primary clinician utilizing a variety of specialized treatment modalities/therapies for individuals, groups of clients and/or their families. Services are offered Monday through Friday, 08:30 to 16:00 hours.

Education, Training and Experience:
Graduation from an approved school of nursing.
Two years’ recent related MHSU experience in the assigned clinical area(s) (such as Counselling & Treatment Services; Treatment, Support & Recovery Services; Crisis Response; Seniors MHSU Services; Substance Use; Developmental Disability Mental Health Services (DDMHS), etc.) or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Current valid B.C. driver’s license.
