We are looking for an enthusiastic Rehabilitation Assistant to join Interior Health's Durand Manor; a 26 long-term care bed facility. We have an integrated position that works 0.5 FTE as a Rehabilitation Assistant each morning and 0.5 FTE as a Recreation Coordinator in the afternoons. This is a permanent full time position working day shifts on Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00.
Rehabilitation Assistant, Pay Grid 25 - $30.06 per hour effective April 1, 2023.
The Rehabilitation Assistant is an intrical member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team and is encouraged to work at top of scope. In this role the Rehabilitation Assistant engages with regular therapeutic inventions and is the eyes and ears of the rehab team. Your input is very valuable in determining adjustments needs for rehab programming or client readiness to move forward.
Program Coordinator I (Recreation), Pay Grid 27 - $30.96 per hour effective April 1, 2023
As a member of the multidisciplinary team, this position plans, develops, implements and evaluates a variety of recreational/leisure programs designed to support residents’/clients’ health and well being in Long-term care, acute and/or adult day program settings. In accordance with facility/site requirements supervises designated staff, students and volunteers.

Qualifications
*** The successful candidate must meet the requirements of both roles. ***
Rehabilitation Assistant:
• Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program.
Program Coordinator I (Recreation):
• Graduation from a recognized recreational program plus one years’ recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• An appropriate, valid Class IV vehicle license as required.
