What will you work on?
The Registered Nurse practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care. Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs. The Registered Nurse demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.
Applicants must be willing to work days, nights and weekends and short call Willingness to work in ED and OBS essential to obtain permanent position (training is available). Other casual opportunities in HH and LTC exist at the facility.
RNs work 12 hour shifts, 07:00 - 19:00 or 19:00 - 07:00, 10:00 to 22:00 hours.

The hospital is in the heart of the downtown core, close to all local amenities, and a host of excellent culinary destinations.
Golden & District Hospital is a Level 1 community hospital with 8 acute inpatient beds. It includes a busy 24/7 Emergency department with 8 stretchers and averages 8,000 visits per year as well as a maternity unit on site that averages 70+ deliveries a year.
Golden is a small town nestled in the Rocky Mountains and surrounded by 6 national parks. There is a great interest in Golden due mainly to the world class extreme sports, mountaineering and the Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. The hospital services approximately 8,000 residents of Golden and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience:
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
