NURSE PRACTITIONER – WILLIAMS LAKE

Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic full time Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team of primary care providers at Cariboo Chiropractic and Medical Clinic and Thompson Rivers University.

This exciting Nurse Practitioner position will be responsible for the provision of comprehensive, longitudinal primary care services and building a roster of patients of all ages, working alongside a team consisting of a OBGYN, a Chiropractor, and a Registered Massage Therapist. Future plans include the addition of 1-2 Family physicians as well. The NP will also collaborate with community agencies and surrounding aboriginal communities in the delivery of holistic, patient-centred health care that is delivered in a culturally safe manner. In addition, the NP will outreach to Thompson Rivers University one day per week. A high level of autonomy is expected along with collaboration, consultation and referrals to physicians and other members of the health care team.

Qualifications

Education, Training, and Experience:
• Current registration and exam-qualified as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Successful completion of Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE).
• Recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.
