Position Summary

Effective April 1, 2022, hourly rates of pay: $37.84 to $46.95

Interior Health has a permanent, part-time opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist who is self-directed and comfortable working autonomously. The successful candidate will have the direct ability to evolve the position working with diverse populations while supporting team based care.

This is a day shift position on a Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday schedule from 08:00 to 14:30 hours for 37.5 hours bi-weekly.

This Primary Care position gives you an opportunity to work in a medical based care environment. The clinic is co-located with other specialized programs and there is opportunity to connect with them.

The Primary Care Physiotherapist is responsible for working in collaboration with an inter-professional care team and defined network of Primary Care Physicians/Nurse Practitioners. The goal is to conduct integrated care planning, offer client assessments/clinic visits, and provide ongoing monitoring and self-management support follow-up for clients (adults, seniors, pediatrics) and/or those with multiple chronic conditions, either in an individual or group setting and often directly within the family physician/nurse practitioner.

As the Primary Care Physiotherapist you will provide physiotherapy services including initial assessment to support the Physician(s) and/or Nurse Practitioner(s). You will see patients a couple of times utilizing therapeutic inventions that contribute to providing wider and quicker access to services for patients with chronic and musculoskeletal conditions and/or barriers to exercise.

The Primary Care Physiotherapist has the support of the Physiotherapy Professional Practice Leader and the network of Physiotherapists across the South Okanagan Region. Therapists come together to support one another and create linkages and connections.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC).
• Valid BC Driver’s license required.
