We have a permanent, part-time opening at Castlegar Urgent Patient Care Centre (UPCC) offering a four day on/four day off rotation. Shifts will be scheduled 08:00 to 20:00 hours and includes rotating weekend shifts.
The Castlegar UPPC has two aspects: scheduled appointments and walk-in clinics. Both referrals are people who have been seen in the emergency room, triaged by the nurse and directed to the UPPC. Appointments can be made for things previously handled in the emergency department such as intravenous antibiotic treatments or work-related doctor’s notes.
As a member of the Castlegar UPCC team, you will work independently and collaboratively providing physiotherapy services to support regular, ongoing health care for people who do not have a primary care provider and urgently needed primary care services for those who cannot see their doctor quickly enough to meet their current health need.
The care team includes general practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, physiotherapists and medical office assistants. You will provide same-day, urgent primary care services to patients living in Castlegar and surrounding communities, utilizing a team-based care delivery model.
We offer an exceptional employer-paid benefits package including dental and prescription coverage, group life, and extensive extended health plan, plus up to four weeks’ vacation after your first year of employment. Relocation Allowance package may be offered with position.
If you are passionate about working in a fast-paced, exciting environment as part of team, this may be the opportunity for you!
