Effective April 1, 2022, hourly rates of pay: $37.84 to $46.95
Interior Health’s Vernon Jubilee Hospital (VJH) is inviting applications for the position of Casual Occupational Therapist. We are seeking to build on our Casual pool within the North Okanagan region specifically in VJH acute impatient care and Interior Health’s North Okanagan Long Term Care facilities.
Casual employment includes: short-notice, on-call availability; workload coverage during a temporary absence; and/or providing relief coverage in a specific position. Days of work would include weekdays and weekends; amount of shifts may vary with hours of work 08:00 to 16:00. Upon completion of 180 hours in Casual employment, there is option of purchasing medical, dental and extended health benefit plans.
What will you work on?
Occupational Therapists work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team providing occupational therapy services including assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education of residents/clients/patients (‘the client’) and/or their caregivers to promote functional independence and enable the client to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes. The Occupational Therapist provides work direction to the rehabilitation assistants working with the rehabilitation team in regards to transfer of function.

Qualifications
• Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program.
• Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
• Valid BC Driver’s license.
