Join our cohesive team in East Kootenay Regional Hospital’s Emergency Department!
EKRH is located in Cranbrook, British Columbia where we provide hospital services to residents of the East Kootenay Health Service Area and care for over 80,000 patients a year. Our Emergency Department has a 16 bed ED including a Trauma room. Patients in the ED have CTAS scores from 1-5 and our patients range from walking wounded to trauma, pediatrics and psychiatric. Our ED works in conjunction with the High Acuity Response Team and outlying facilities in both receiving and transferring patients. We have a helicopter pad on site with frequent transfers with STARS (Alberta Flight).
We are fortunate to have a staff that is very diverse in age, experience, background, interests and we are a very supportive team. Our daily staff complement is comprised of 10 RNs, 1 LPNs, a Porter, Unit Clerk, Social Work with full time ED physicians.

This is a relief full-time position until DEC 26, 2023 or until Return Of Incumbent, with rotating day and night shifts from 07:00 to 19:00 and 19:00 to 07:00

Qualifications
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Advanced preparation in an Emergency clinical specialty or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 3 years.
