Position Summary

Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) has a busy surgical services department. Services provided vary from Daycare Surgery to Critical Care, Inpatient/Outpatient, Elective/Urgent and Emergency services. The patient population spans from pediatric to the elderly. The RIH PAR department has a team atmosphere with solid leadership. There is excellent support from the Patient Care Coordinator, the Educator and the Manager.

This is a permanent full time position working rotating day and evening shifts with on-call shifts within the rotation. This position is eligible for our comprehensive benefits plan that includes coverage for basic Medical Services, Dental Services, and Extended Health. We offer generous vacation entitlement and Pension Plan. Relocation allowance is offered to eligible new employees.

RIH is a tertiary referral hospital located in Kamloops serving the Thompson/Cariboo/Shuswap region of Interior Health. Qualifications

Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the
British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

Advanced preparation in the clinical specialty of critical care nursing and one year recent related clinical experience in the assigned practice environment on a post anesthetic room or critical care environment similar in size and scope to the facility or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
