Position Summary
Interior Health Rehabilitation Assistants carry out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs as directed by a Physiotherapist and/or an Occupational Therapist, and function as a member of the multidisciplinary team in meeting the needs of the residents/patients.
This position will provide relief part time coverage (0.82FTE) until the return of incumbent at Merritt’s Coquihalla Gillis House. Days of work are Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays; 07:00 to 15:00 hours.
Upon completion of 180 hours, there is option of purchasing medical, dental and extended health benefit plans. When the employee occupies the position for 6 months or longer, entitlement to the reimbursement for benefits and enrollment in the benefit plan will be at the expense of the employer. Relocation Allowance package may be offered with position.
What Will You Work On?
In this position the Rehabilitation Assistant works under the direction of both Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist and works with residents in Long Term Care and in the Short Stay Bed Program. And may be asked to work at Nicola Valley Hospital as required.

Effective April 1, 2023, hourly rate of pay is $30.06 per hour.
Qualifications
Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program. Valid Driver’s License as required.
