Position Summary

Prepare to join our cohesive team at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, B.C. We are seeking casual Registered Nurses for this busy medical unit.

What will you work on?

The Registered Nurse practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care. Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs.

Shifts are rotating 12 hour day and night shifts from 07:00-19:00 and 19:00–07:00 hours.

About this location/unit

The hospitals’ busy 27 bed medical inpatient unit.

Located in Cranbrook, between Kimberley and Fernie, EKRH is a 75 bed regional referral centre for patients and smaller community hospitals throughout the designated health service area. EKRH offers physician specialties, 24-hour emergency and trauma services, acute medical and surgical and obstetrical care as well as Lab services.

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience:

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

**Previous acute medical experience would be considered an asset.
