Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a self-directed, motivated, reliable and flexible nurse who enjoys working in a rural environment. If you have education and experience in Mental Health and Substance use nursing, we want to hear from you!

What will you work on?

The Nurse works as an integral part of an integrated mental health and substance use service. The Nurse provides urgent outreach, responsive assessment and treatment, case management, GP shared care, education, and support to individuals experiencing acute and/or chronic mental illness and/or problem substance use.

The Invermere & District Hospital is located in the heart of Invermere on Lake Windermere. The facility is walking distance to all 3 medical clinics and the retail/shopping district of the community, and both public beaches!

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience:

Graduation from an approved school of nursing.

Two (2) years’ recent related experience in a mental health and substance use environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

Current valid B.C. driver’s license.
