Position Summary

Effective April 1, 2022, hourly rates of pay: $37.84 to $46.95

Interior Health is seeking a Primary Care Physiotherapist for a unique, permanent full-time position. This position is working upstream with the goal of keeping people healthy.

What will the Physiotherapist work on?
The Primary Care Physiotherapist works independently and collaboratively as part of a medical-based team consisting of Physicians, Nurses, registered dietitian, social worker and physiotherapist. As the PCN Physiotherapist you will provide physiotherapy services including initial assessment to support the Physician(s). You will see patients a couple of times to contribute to treatment plans including one-on-one or group sessions and/or home exercises to provide wider and quicker access to services for patients with acute and chronic pain, and/or musculoskeletal conditions and/or barriers to exercise.

How Will the Primary Care Physiotherapist Make an Impact?
This position will work within the South Similkameen Health Centre’s primary care clinic in Keremeos, BC. Patients are provided the right care by the right provider with the most expertise at the right time. Holding a specialized body of knowledge and utilizing skills, the Primary Care Physiotherapist frees up Physician’s time to see more patients in need. It is a collaborative relationship that is unique and creates an impact for the community of Keremeos.

How Will We Help the Primary Care Physiotherapist Grow?
The Primary Care Physiotherapist has the support of the Physiotherapy Professional Practice Leader and the network of Primary Care Physiotherapists across the South Okanagan Similkameen. Therapists come together to support one another and create linkages and connections. Clinics and Interior Heath work together to support professional development and operational needs.

Who We Are Looking For?
We are looking for a Physiotherapist with current registration with the College of Physical Therapists of BC (CPTBC). Or an eligible Physiotherapist currently registered in another province who can apply for CPTBC who has an interest working in a team-based care environment

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC).
