Position Summary
Put your nursing skills into full motion and join the passionate and welcoming nursing staff at Nicola Valley Health Centre, in the beautiful community of Merritt. We are looking for a self-directed, motivated, reliable and flexible Registered Nurse to join our team.
This position works both the Emergency and Medical areas.
The Nicola Valley Health Centre has an 11 bed ER and sees 50-60 patients a day. The Emergency department is open 24/7 with 2 RNs in the ER.
This is a Casual opportunity. Casual means there are no guaranteed hours and work requirements may vary from 0 - 37.5 hours per week. Casual employment includes: short-notice, on-call availability; workload coverage during a temporary absence; and/or providing relief coverage in a specific position. Once hired into a casual role, employees are eligible to apply for internal postings including permanent part-time or full time positions. Qualifications
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Post-graduate certification in Rural or Emergency Nursing, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within 3 years.
