Is Mental Health Nursing your passion? We have multiple permanent full time opportunities available for a Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
Vernon Jubilee Hospital's Mental Health Department provides services for adolescents, adults and psycho-geriatric patients in the North Okanagan, which includes all areas from Vernon to Revelstoke. There are 17 beds and one secure room and our RNs/RPNs work 8-hour or 12-hour shifts.
What will you work on?
The Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse provides: nursing care to psychiatric patients, both by working independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team; enhances quality of life for the patient and family; consults, confers, and collaborates with other health care providers; demonstrates continuous improvement and evidence based practice in nursing practice; maintains and advances own clinical competence; participates on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned.
Shifts are rotating days & nights: 0700:00 to 19:15, 19:00 to 07:15 hours.

Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience:
Graduation from an approved school of nursing and two years’ recent related experience in a mental health and substance use environment; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
