We are currently in search of a Permanent Full Time Rural and Remote Adult Mental Health and Substance Use Clinician to join our South Similkameen Health Centre team in Keremeos BC!
Primary job duties include, at the advanced practice level, intake assessment, crisis intervention, referral, case management, short term individual and group psychotherapy, psychogeriatric support, collaborative community planning, psycho-education with clients and their families, and liaison with appropriate professionals.
Day-to-day duties comprise urgent response intervention to individuals in acute crisis, consultation with other care providers, and the coordination of services for adults and elderly with mental health and/or substance use problems.

Our goal is to help clients achieve independence and improve the quality of their lives. Mental Health & Substance Use Services vary from crisis intervention and assessment, to short-term and long-term treatment programs. Services are delivered along a continuum that ranges from Health Promotion and Prevention through to intensive Treatment, long-term rehabilitation and support.

Education, Training and Experience:
Masters degree from an accredited educational institution in an Allied Health, Behavioural, or Social Science field relevant to the position.
Two years’ recent related experience in a mental health and substance use environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Current valid BC driver’s license.
