Effective April 1, 2022, hourly rates of pay: $37.06 to $46.15
Interior Health invites applications Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a relief, part time opening with our Early Childhood Development Program based in Kimberley, BC.
Days of work are weekdays 08:15 to 16:15 hours Monday to Thursday and alternate Friday. This position will provide coverage until May 2023, or return of incumbent.

What Will You Work On?
The Early Childhood Development (ECD) SLP will work with children aged birth-to-school entry from a variety of cultural backgrounds and their parents/caregivers. The ECD SLP will engage in screening, assessment, intervention, coaching, & education in all areas of speech, language, & communication with this population. The ECD SLP will collaborate with other professionals from the Ministry of Children & Family Development (MCFD), Ministry of Education (MoE), as well as local community organizations.

Orientation will be provided from the current SLP before scheduled leave date of May 2, 2022.
We have a very collaborative team in Interior Health’s ECD SLP Program. The ECD SLP will receive support from the Professional Practice Leader (PPL) and from 25 ECD SLP colleagues from across Interior Health.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for an ECD SLP with experience/preference working with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers and their caregivers. The ECD SLP will have excellent oral and written communication abilities & be able to connect with people from all types of backgrounds. The ECD SLP will be creative in supporting clients’ goals while adhering to program guidelines. The ECD SLP will be an active and engaged team member, able to respectfully communicate and resolve conflict in a timely manner.
Qualifications
• Registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC.
• Valid BC Driver’s license required.
