Position Summary

Boundary Hospital's emergency department has 10 stretchers and 1 trauma bay. This rural but very busy department typically sees 1300 emergency visits each month. Also on site are 12 acute care beds, a number of outpatient services and an adjoining residential care facility.

This is a Casual opportunity. Casual means there are no guaranteed hours and work requirements can vary from 0 - 37.5 hours per week. Typical shift times will be Rotating Days & Evenings from 08:00 to 20:00, 20:00 to 08:00.

Qualifications

Qualifications
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Advanced preparation in the Emergency or Rural Emergency clinical specialty or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within 3 years.
