Registered Nurse | Emergency

Position Summary

We’re looking for an experienced Registered Nurse who has emergency or rural nursing experience, to join our team!

The Princeton General Hospital is a Level 1 Community Hospital in the Okanagan health service area. Located south west of Penticton, the hospital offers services including acute care, laboratory, and 24 hour emergency.

Our RNs work both days and nights 07:00-19:00 and 19:00-07:00.

This is a casual position which means hours of work are not guaranteed. Once hired into a casual role, employees are eligible to apply for internal postings including permanent part-time or full time positions. There are many opportunities with Interior Health that begin with casual on-call positions and lead to regular employment.

Qualifications

Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

Advanced preparation in the clinical specialty of the assigned area as required by the position:
• Emergency: Advanced preparation in an ED clinical specialty or an equivalent combination of education & experience. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) within 3 years.
• Perinatal: Advanced preparation in a Perinatal clinical specialty or an equivalent combination of education & experience. Current Fetal Health Surveillance (FHS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 2 years. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) within 3 years.
