Hillside Centre is a 44 bed facility located on the Royal Inland Hospital campus where care is provided to individuals within the psychiatric system who cannot be cared for in their own area. Focus is on diagnosis and stabilization with rehabilitation strategies to promote stabilization and reintegration into the community to return home.

Days of work are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. We offer an exceptional employer-paid benefits package including dental and prescription coverage, group life, and extensive extended health plan, plus generous vacation after your first year of employment. Relocation Allowance package may be offered with position. Recognition of prior experience when determining starting salary.

What You Will Work On:

• Equipment recommendations;
• Treatments that are based off of a physiotherapy assessment; and

How You Will Create Impact:
The Physiotherapist is an important part of the care plan team. Your assessments and recommendations are used throughout patients’ stay and then follow the patient upon return to their home community. You are big part of the physical rehab component for those patients who require this while they are at Hillside for their psychiatric concerns.

How We Will Help You Grow:
There are multiple courses available to help you feel comfortable working with this population of patients (i.e. PIECES, Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA), Provincial Violence Prevention Curriculum (PVPC), Advanced Team Response training).
