Interior Health is presently accepting applications from Dietitians with interest and experience in a hospital/healthcare environment for a Permanent Full Time vacancy. This position is based in 100 Mile House and District Hospital (OMH). OMH is a 16-bed rural community hospital offering emergency, low-risk obstetrics, general medical, and outpatient ambulatory care services. Long Term Care facilities operated by Interior Health adjacent to OMH include Fischer Place and Mill Site Lodge.
In this position, the Dietitian is a member of a multidisciplinary health care team and provides nutrition care and support to individuals, patients, clients residents and groups according to established policies, standards and procedures. Utilizing clinical techniques and knowledge, the Dietitian provides nutrition services through: nutrition assessment; care planning and charting; intervention, goal setting and monitoring; counseling and education programs; consults and communicates with the multidisciplinary care teams; acts as a resource to other health professionals and communities within Interior Health. The Dietitian provides input to the Professional Practice Leader or designate by participating in the development of nutrition practice guidelines and procedures; research and continuous quality improvement initiatives for the facility and program. The Dietitian liaises and advises food service staff on patient/client/resident care issues and menu development.
Hours of work: Day shifts Monday to Friday from 08:00 – 16:00 hours.

Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics.
Successful completion of an accredited hospital based dietetic internship program (or equivalent acceptable to the facility).
Registrant of the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.
Two year’s of clinical nutrition experience in a health care environment is an asset.
Practice specific requirements and experience in programs applicable to practice area such as: Diabetes Education, Nutrition Support, and Kidney and Chronic Disease Management Programs.
Valid BC Driver’s License.
