We are seeking a reliable and motivated Rehabilitation Assistant to join our cohesive team within the friendly community of Merritt.
Nicola Valley Hospital and Health Centre has eight acute care inpatient beds and includes a 24/7 Emergency Department, Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy, Public Health, Mental Health, Home and Community Care Nursing and Home Support and Lab and X-ray.
The Rehabilitation Assistant is a member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team in meeting the needs of the clients and/or residents. The Rehabilitation Assistant carries out rehabilitative treatment plans and programs and assists therapists in monitoring and evaluating clients’ progression.
Shifts are rotating and scheduled during the Day. Casual employment means work requirements can vary between Zero and 37.5 hours per week. Casual employees receive 12.6% of their straight time pay, exclusive of all premiums, in lieu of scheduled vacations and statutory holidays. Upon completion of 180 hours, there is option of purchasing medical, dental and extended health benefit plans.

• Completion of a recognized, two-year Rehabilitation Assistant Diploma Program.
• Valid Driver’s License as required.
Effective April 2021 hourly rate of pay is $27.02.
