Effective April 1, 2022, hourly rates of pay: $37.84 to $46.95

Interior Health’s Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBRH) is inviting applications for the position of Casual Physiotherapist.

We are seeking to build on our Casual pool within the Kootenay Boundary region specifically in KBRH, Home and Community Health, and Long Term Care. KBRH is a health service area hospital providing core medical and surgical specialty services and 24-hour emergency and trauma services. Within the realm of Trail are several Long-Term Care facilities that include Columbia View Lodge, Harbour House, Poplar Ridge Pavilion, and Rose Wood Care Village. Our Home and Community Health Physiotherapists are based in Kiro Wellness Centre.

Physiotherapists works collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team providing services including assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education of clients and/or their caregivers. With the goal to promote functional independence and enable clients to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes.

Casual employment means work requirements can vary between Zero and 37.5 hours per week. Casual employees receive 13% of their straight time pay, exclusive of all premiums, in lieu of scheduled vacations and statutory holidays. Upon completion of 180 hours, there is option of purchasing medical, dental and extended health benefit plans. Shifts will be primarily available during the Day Monday through Friday with weekend work also available. Travel may be required in the Home and Community Health portion of the position. Access to a reliable personal vehicle may be required.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC).
• Valid BC Driver’s license.
