Position Summary

Do you have your 4th Class Power Engineer certificate with supervisory experience? If so, we have an exciting permanent full-time opportunity for you as a Mantenance Supervisor / Power Engineer in 100 Mile House.

The town of 100 Mile House is known for its friendliness and hospitality. Forestry is the primary driver of the economy here; however, the community also serves as a commercial supply centre for the area. Located in the Cariboo Chilcotin Region of British Columbia, the town’s warm, dry summers are ideal for hiking and fishing while snow in the winter provides for cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. The natural beauty of the region with its lush forests and patchwork of lakes and rivers is the perfect backdrop for an outdoor lifestyle.


Exciting Opportunity:

As the Maintenance Supervisor/Power Engineer 4, you will be responsible for ongoing Plant & Maintenance functions; supervising maintenance workers and other designated staff; and performing related administrative functions. You will perform trades duties approaching the journeyman level in a variety of trades areas. As well, you will operate and maintain a power plant or any low pressure steam plant by operating, repairing and carrying out preventative maintenance on the boilers, air conditioning units, emergency power and other related equipment of the facility in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.


Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience:
Grade 12.
Certificate of competency as 4th Class Power Engineer recognized by the Province of British Columbia.
Five (5) years recent related experience including two (2) years in a supervisory capacity or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Valid BC Driver’s License.
